Job Overview

We are seeking a professional and reliable Class 2 Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a focus on commercial driving.

Responsibilities

Operate Rigid lorries in compliance with road safety regulations and company policies. Load and unload goods safely, ensuring proper securing of cargo during transit. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues promptly. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with legal requirements. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any unforeseen delays. Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during driving duties. Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks as needed to ensure optimal operational condition.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a commercial driver. Valid UK driving licence suitable for heavy goods vehicles (HGV CLASS 2). Demonstrable knowledge of handling and securing cargo safely. Strong driving skills with a clean driving record(Maximum of 6 points) . Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively. Good communication skills and a professional attitude towards clients and colleagues. Ability to work independently on long routes and adapt to changing schedules. Job is Monday to Friday TRAMPING. Early start on Monday between 4 and 6AM.
