HGV Delivery Driver

Tamar Trading Company Ltd is a well-established and respected, family-run business with five trading branches across Devon and Cornwall.

We are currently seeking an experienced HGV delivery driver to join the team at our branch in Bodmin.

Duties:

Operate a lorry to transport goods to designated locations. Conduct pre & post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload goods, which may involve heavy lifting/manual handling. Communicate effectively with colleagues. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road. Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and in good working order.

Requirements

Valid HGV licence with a clean driving record. Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes. Strong communication skills to liaise with team members and customers effectively. Excellent time management skills & attention to detail.
Experience within the industry would be advantageous but not essential as training is available. You will need a full, clean driving license and be qualified to drive Class 2 HGVs, hold an up to date CPC and ideally possess a valid Hi-ab certificate.

Hours of work

Week 1: Monday to Friday, 7:30 - 5:00.

Week 2: Monday to Friday, 7:30 - 5:00 & alternate Saturday's, 08:00 - 12:00.
