Job Description

We are now looking for a skilled and reliable HGV Class 2 Hiab Driver to join our operations team. The successful candidate will be in charge of operating a Class 2 HGV vehicle equipped with a Hiab crane to safely transport and assist in the lifting and installation or removal of heavy machinery and equipment across various sites in the UK. The role also involves supporting the installation and warehouse teams with day-to-day tasks when required.

Responsibilities

Operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle with Hiab to deliver and collect heavy equipment across sites. Use the Hiab to load, unload, and position machinery in a safe and controlled manner. Assist the installation team with machinery positioning, setup, and removal when not driving. Carry out vehicle checks, report defects, and ensure the vehicle is clean and maintained. Support general warehouse duties such as loading, unloading, organising stock, and assisting in workshop operations. Complete delivery paperwork, job sheets, and timesheets accurately and on time. Adhere to health and safety standards at all times, on-site and while on the road. Provide excellent customer service when representing the company on client sites. Work flexibly to support daily operational needs, which may include early starts, nights, or weekends.

Requirements

Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence. HIAB (Lorry Loader) qualification (ALLMI or equivalent) Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card. Good understanding of load securing and lifting operations. Previous experience in machinery transport or installation preferred. Positive attitude and willingness to take on a variety of tasks. Ability to work effectively within a team and under pressure. Flexibility to travel and work varied hours, including overnights.
