Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and compliance with all driving regulations. Experience with flatbed driving is preferred, as well as a background in commercial driving.

Responsibilities

Operate lorries in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring that it is secured properly for transport. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for flatbed operation. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of logistics operations. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record. Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, ensuring compliance with all regulations. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and customers.
