Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage time effectively. Experience with flatbed lorries is preferred, as you will be handling diverse cargo types.

Duties

Operate a lorry in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, particularly on flatbed vehicles. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption as required by law. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding safety and operational practices. Assist in the maintenance of the lorry, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.

Experience

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is advantageous. Valid commercial driving licence (C+E) with a clean driving record. Familiarity with flatbed lorry operations is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Good communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
