Job Summary

Monday to Friday tramper job role. This job requires the right applicant to travel around the UK mostly with a fridge trailer collecting and delivering fresh products around the UK.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Class one HGV truck driver to come and join our small team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations and safety protocols. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to manage various driving conditions. This job will be Monday to Friday day shifts tramping around the UK. Therefore nights out are essentia.

Looking to hire more potential employees in the future for more shifts such as night runs and evening runs as well.

You'll get a guarantee of 12 hours a day pay this also includes paid breaks. As well as your tax free night out money of 26.20.

We also give out bonuses to employees that go above and beyond. As well as overtime pay where applicable.

We expect a well managed driver that can communicate effectively in English. That will let the office know about any problems.

Duties

Operate a tractor unit and trailer. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery schedules while considering traffic patterns and road conditions. Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transit. Communicate with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays. Adhere to all local, regional, and national driving laws and regulations.
Skills

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred. Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for flatbed operations. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving. Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with GPS systems. Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping. Good communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
