We are recruiting for an experienced

HGV Depot Manager

to join a well-established commercial vehicle operation based in Manchester. This is a key leadership role overseeing a large, fast-paced depot and a team of around

70 staff

across workshop, admin, service, and operational departments.

As the HGV Depot Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the site runs smoothly day-to-day, maintaining high standards of customer service, staff performance, compliance, and commercial results. You'll work closely with technicians, support teams and senior management to drive the depot forward.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, manage and support a team of approximately 70 employees Oversee workshop performance, technician productivity and overall efficiency Maintain compliance with industry legislation and company standards Manage budgets, KPIs, cost control and commercial performance Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal teams Ensure a positive working culture and high levels of staff engagement Drive continuous improvement across all depot functions

About You:

Previous management experience within a dealership is a must Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide large teams Confident managing budgets, operational performance and customer service Good understanding of industry processes, compliance and workshop standards IT literate, with a strong grasp of MS Office and modern depot systems
