To efficiently and safely transport our goods and services over short and long distances ensuring a timely delivery whilst adhering to all necessary safety regulations.
Arrow HGV drivers are responsible for inspecting their vehicles before and after trips, managing load securement, and maintaining accurate delivery documentation. Additionally, they must demonstrate professionalism and good communication skills, as they often interact with clients and other stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities
To carry out multi-drop deliveries in a range of company vehicles including Vans and HGVs.
The role will require flexibility including early starts, late finishes and overnight stays and sometimes may require weekend work.
To ensure goods are received and dispatched appropriately and any productivity targets are met
Occasionally you will be required to work in the warehouse where you be expected to carry out tasks more associated with warehousing (some listed below)
To liaise with customers, suppliers, and transport companies
To pick and pack orders for despatch on occasions where you will be working in our warehouse
To arrange cost effective carrier collections as required
To assist loading and unloading of HGVs and containers by hand and/or using a forklift truck
To carry out various required checks including forklift and driving and daily pre-usage checks, HGV and van pre-usage checks and occasional warehouse racking checks
Occasionally to assist in the production of our own manufactured products such as chairs and dividers.
Regular transfers of stock between HQ (Lowestoft) and Alfreton Warehouse
To drive company vehicles, when required including forklift trucks at all sites.
General housekeeping and maintenance in the warehouse/on site and ordering of warehouse supplies
To maintain records on the warehouse ERP system including all processes involved with picking, booking in, despatch and works orders for our own manufactured products.
To have an awareness and understanding of Workplace Health and Safety
To have extensive knowledge of the company, its aims, objectives, and its strategic direction.

Skills and Attributes
Excellent flexibility on starting times, finishing times and open to overnight stays and some unsociable working hours
Good communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
IT literacy - the ability to check and respond to emails and use an ERP system for basic warehouse, production tasks and vehicle checks.
A keen eye for detail

Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 07:00 to 17:00, Friday 07:00 to 16:00.
