Through continued new development and expansion, our Industrial Gases division is recruiting skilled and motivated Class 1, ADR qualified drivers to deliver high-quality service from our sites in Cambridgeshire onwards to customer sites nationally.

Who you are:



You will be an experienced Class 1 ADR driver, committed to delivering excellent service. Able to demonstrate total commitment to Health and Safety best practice. Have a flexible attitude and strong team mentality, willing to fulfil our customers' requirements. Our customer-base requires 24/7 service. This means that we can offer a variety of shift patterns to suit your needs or preferences and to maximise your earning potential. It is important that you are a positive individual, as passionate as we are about delivering positive environmental impact, driving gas-powered vehicles to reduce carbon emissions and deliver our green, environmentally positive products. This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive hourly rate, tax-free daily subsistence payment and benefits package.

What you will do:



Hold a valid Class 1 license with ADR certification (not essential), demonstrating a strong commitment to safety regulations and protocols. Execute all duties with an unwavering dedication to safety standards, ensuring the secure transportation of Liquid Carbon Dioxide, LNG and other materials. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and rectify any safety concerns promptly. Adhere rigorously to safety procedures and protocols during the loading, unloading, and transportation of liquid CO2, LNG and other materials. Continuously monitor and maintain the condition of cryogenic road tankers to ensure safe operation, reporting any issues promptly for resolution. Stay up-to-date with the latest safety regulations and industry best practices, attending training sessions and seminars as required. Prioritise safety for yourself, colleagues, customers and the public when operating within a variety of environments. Collaborate closely with the safety team and management to identify and implement safety improvements and initiatives. Maintain a strong understanding of emergency response procedures, capable of taking swift, appropriate action in the event of accidents or incidents. Embrace a safety-first culture, actively promoting safety awareness and encouraging best practices among team members. Participate in safety audits and inspections as necessary to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

What we need:



Minimum of 3 years of experience driving Goods Vehicles, with a proven track record of safety-conscious operations. Possess a valid driver CPC and Class 1 ADR license, reflecting a deep understanding of safety regulations pertaining to the transportation of hazardous materials. Demonstrable commitment to prioritising safety in all aspects of the role, upholding the highest safety standards at all times. Ability to identify potential safety hazards and take proactive measures to mitigate risks, ensuring the well-being of oneself, colleagues, and the community. Excellent knowledge of safety protocols, including emergency response procedures and the proper use of safety equipment. Strong communication skills, capable of effectively conveying safety information and concerns to team members and management. Dedication to ongoing safety training and improvement, contributing to a safe and secure work environment for all.
