Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled HGV Class 1 and 2 drivers (Tramping preferred but not required) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to operate various types of vehicles, including flatbed lorries.

Duties

LTD Payment 18p/h Must be tramping (25 per night) Class 1 must have 'Walk the floor' experience Class 2 must have 'Tipper' Experience Operate lorries for the transportation of goods over long distances. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working order. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of loads on flatbed vehicles. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards throughout the delivery process.

Requirements

Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for lorry operation. Experience in flatbed driving is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate. Strong understanding of delivery driver responsibilities and road safety regulations. Excellent time management skills with a focus on punctuality and reliability. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues effectively.
