Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with curtainside vehicles, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of the cargo.

Duties

Operate curtainside lorries safely and efficiently to transport goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order and report any issues. Load and secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery logs and vehicle maintenance reports. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards throughout all driving activities.

Requirements

Valid commercial driving licence (Category C or equivalent). Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with flatbed lorries. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record. Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo. Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment. Flexibility to work varied hours as required by delivery schedules.
