Job Overview

HGV Class 1 (CE) driver sought for weekday tautliner work ex-Scarborough. Mostly regular day runs, possibly very occasional night out.

Responsibilities

Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload goods, securing cargo appropriately for transport. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Ensure that all deliveries are made on time while maintaining high standards of customer service. Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, reporting any incidents or hazards immediately.

Experience

Must have held full Class 1 (CE) licence for MINIMUM of 2 years (insurance requirement) Must have valid driving licence, driver CPC card and digital tachograph card (will be subject to regular checking) Clean licence/driving record preferred, maximum 6 points considered Tautliner experience preferred. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for managing delivery schedules and paperwork. Excellent communication skills are necessary for interacting with customers and team members effectively.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: From 13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 65 per week
