We are seeking a dynamic and experienced driver/porter to lead our well regarded family business towards achieving its strategic goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a proven track record in professional driving and or removals, and the ability to inspire and motivate teams. This role requires a flexible and friendly person who can enjoy hard work with a lovely team of people. The hours can be flexible from 1 day a week to 5 days. We actively consider more mature candidates with a wealth of experience, and also foster newer candidates who we offer to train and get qualified.
Responsibilities
Be reliable and responsible for driving and loading and unloading safely.
Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness and great customer service to our clients.
Manage vehicle safety checks and play and active role in the care and maintenance of the trucks.
Foster a collaborative environment by leading, mentoring, and developing team members and accepting training as provided..
Establish great relationships within the team to add to our continued success and drive continuous improvement. .
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards and all driving rules while promoting best practices within Flash Gordon Removals.
Represent the organisation with pride and great customer service skills to achieve repeat trade and uphold our reputation.
Qualifications
Preferable proven experience in a similar HGV role or removals role with a focus on customer service and care.
Exceptional driving skills with the ability to manage overseas driving.
Strong loading skills with an efficient approach to decision-making and delivering on time.
Excellent communication skills, go the extra mile to help and accommodate.
A commitment to upholding the values of integrity, transparency, and accountability in all aspects of work. Be honest, kind and friendly.
