Job Description

HGV 1 Driver - Full time with nights out (Four per week)

Responsibilities:

- Safely and efficiently operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods to designated locations
- securing of loads to current regs
- Follow delivery routes
- Communicate with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any delays or issues that may arise
- Conduct pre use inspections of the vehicle to ensure vehicles/trailers are in good working condition, report any issues verbally and in writing
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, AdBlue and any incidents or accidents

Qualifications:

- Valid commercial driver's license HGV 1/Class 1 & DCPC
- Experience as a truck driver or delivery driver (not essential but preferred)
- knowledge of safe driving practices and traffic laws
- Good time management skills with the ability to meet delivery deadlines
- Ability to secure loads to the current regs
- Good communication skills and customer service-oriented mindset

-Overtime

Working Monday to Friday with four nights out per week, dedicated own truck, 28 paid days holiday per year, wide load experience would be beneficial but not essential.
