Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, and possess a strong commitment to safety and customer service. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to various locations, ensuring that all transport regulations are adhered to.

Duties

Operate flatbed lorries safely and efficiently for the transportation of goods. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations. Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring that all items are transported safely. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel usage. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations during transportation.

Requirements

Valid UK driving licence with the appropriate category for commercial driving. Truck is based in sheerness in Kent. truck is based in sheerness in Kent.

Work is from London Gateway and Felix stowe docks. Collecting Containers from the Docks and delivering them to customers waiting for them to unload and back to the docks.. Must have the relevant cards to enter the docs, which is a DP card and a rhides card. What's the experience in Containers and also must have a proper truck satnav as every now and then we get a real awkward container which might go on B roads.
