Job Overview

Well established family business seeks reliable and responsible drivers for our new fleet of trucks.

We operate 18 and 26-tonne curtainsiders, tramping all over the UK.

ADR qualification is a must; we will arrange training if necessary. This will also give you 21 hours of CPC training. We are a FORS Silver operator.

Duties

Overnight stays in cab required. Operate lorries in a safe and efficient manner while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Transport goods to designated locations, ensuring timely delivery. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo, using electric pump truck, and securing it appropriately for transport. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transit. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures related to safety and transportation.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence C is essential. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role. However we will consider new HGV drivers and discuss your development needs. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record. Attention to detail in record keeping. Commitment to good communication with colleagues and customers.

Pay: From 13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
