Job Description
The Role
We are recruiting HGV Drivers on behalf of a public sector environmental services provider to support street cleansing, refuse, recycling, and associated frontline operations. This role is key to maintaining clean, safe, and well-presented public spaces.
Key Responsibilities
Safely drive and operate allocated HGV vehicles on planned routes
Transport crew members and equipment as required
Carry out daily vehicle safety checks, defect reporting, and basic maintenance
Support refuse collection, recycling, sweeping, bulky waste, and priority cleansing tasks
Ensure the safety of colleagues, pedestrians, and road users at all times
Complete required paperwork including mileage, fuel, and inspection records
What We're Looking For
Valid HGV licence with CPC and digital tachograph
Experience in waste, cleansing, or local authority environments desirable
Strong awareness of health & safety and safe systems of work
Flexible, reliable, and comfortable with outdoor operational work
