Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations. This is a crucial role in our organization, ensuring timely and safe deliveries.

Duties:
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle, such as a dropside truck, to transport goods and materials
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of items for transportation
- Plan routes and follow delivery schedules to ensure on-time deliveries
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards while driving
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or delays
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery status or any issues that may arise
- Perform basic maintenance tasks on the vehicle as needed

Skills:
- Valid HGV2 driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to operate a dropside truck or willingness to learn
- Excellent driving skills with the ability to navigate various road conditions and terrains
- Strong time management skills to ensure timely deliveries
- Attention to detail for accurately documenting deliveries and following instructions
- Physical stamina to handle loading and unloading of cargo

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 15.13 per hour
