Summary and Duties

We are seeking an experienced HGV and plant fitter based at our Atherton site, to undertake all aspects of HGV maintenance, including breakdown repairs, routine six-weekly inspections, MOT preparation, full refurbishments, and the installation of new equipment such as hydraulic systems. In addition, we operate a fleet of road planers and sweepers, as well as crushers, screeners, and associated shovels and excavators. The successful candidate will therefore also support the maintenance and repair of this machinery as required.

The position operates on a rota system alongside our existing team and will involve night shifts and some weekend work. We are open to discussing a working pattern that suits both the successful candidate and the needs of the business.

Requirements

NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds qualification (or equivalent industry experience) HGV licence preferred, or a willingness to obtain one Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
