Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and conscientious Grab Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for completing compliant and efficient backfill and muck away duties on our Thames Water mains replacement contracts covering the Thames Valley and London areas. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to the NRSWA specification and current transport laws.

Responsibilities

Carry out daily vehicle inspections and complete defect sheets Complete backfill and muck away tasks, and occasionally collect tarmac Use TFP's internal management system to complete risk assessments, plant checks, and photo logs of completed works Use a digital system to complete waste transfer notes to comply with the latest waste legislation Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with clients during work

Skills

Proficient in the use of the grab lorry crane Experience driving 32-ton, 8-wheel HGVs Knowledge in highway works involving backfilling and maintaining SLG Competent user of tech to complete required documents on a tablet device Strong communication skills to liaise with colleagues, supervisors, clients, and members of the public

Qualifications

Class 2 (Category C) UK driving licence

Valid CPC and tacho card

(required)

NPORS/ALLMI/CPCS grab (clamshell) ticket

(required)

SQWR/NRSWA Streetworks ticket (desirable) EUSR SHEA Water (desirable) EUSR National Water Hygiene (desirable) Digger/dumper ticket (desirable)
Training can be arranged if you do not possess any of the above desirable qualifications.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 180.00-200.00 per day
