Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Licence Class 2 driver with Hiab experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods using a flatbed lorry equipped with a Hiab crane. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle various types of cargo.

Duties

Operate a Class 2 HGV lorry with Hiab crane for the transportation of goods. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe working condition. Load and unload cargo using the Hiab crane, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport. Deliver goods to various locations in a timely manner while adhering to traffic regulations and company policies. Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

Requirements

Valid HGV Licence Class 2 with Hiab certification is essential. Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for safe driving. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues. A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism on the road.
