Vehicle Maintenance: Carry out routine maintenance tasks, inspections, and repairs on heavy goods vehicles.
Prep and present vehicles for annual test
Diagnostic Procedures: Diagnose, identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues on vehicle and body systems.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and parts used
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during all maintenance procedures.
Areas of responsibility
Perform routine maintenance
Electrical and engine troubleshooting and diagnostics
Engine and transmission repairs
Perform inspections and test mechanical units
Provide training and advice to apprentices and co-workers as required
Ability to use power and hand tools related to motor vehicle service and repair
Experience and Skills:
Qualified Heavy Goods Vehicle Mechanic (HGV Mechanic)
Minimum 3 years post apprenticeship experience in HGV maintenance and repair
Degree of product and technical knowledge
Strong diagnostics capabilities with good computer skills
Must be organized & self-motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills
Motivated team player with a strong sense of commitment to the team
Ability to understand and carry out instructions via written, verbal, or diagram form

Pay: 35,000.00-42,500.00 per year
