We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team to service and repair our fleet og HGV tippers, mixers and light vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical repair and maintenance, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely.
Duties
Conduct thorough inspections of machinery and vehicles to identify issues and potential problems.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake repairs, and tyre rotations.
Diagnose mechanical faults using appropriate tools and techniques.
Repair or replace defective parts and components as necessary.
Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including parts used and time spent on repairs.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment at all times.
Experience
Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role is preferred.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
Familiarity with diagnostic IT, equipment and tools used in vehicle repair.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
A valid driving licence is advantageous but not essential.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in HGV or mechanical engineering would be beneficial but are not mandatory.
