39,000 - 43,000 per annum + overtime + call-out rota

Monday-Friday, 08:00-16:00 (with call-out rota)

HGV Mechanic / Plant Mechanic

HGV Mechanic / Plant Mechanic: What You'll Be Doing

Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of HGVs, plant, and specialist GSE. Carrying out preventative maintenance and inspections to keep the fleet safe and operational. Performing brake and smoke tests, identifying defects, and reporting to the Workshop Supervisor. Maintaining accurate service records and job cards. Supporting the wider engineering team with ad-hoc repairs and urgent breakdowns. Ensuring safety compliance at all times and reporting defective tools/equipment.

HGV Mechanic / Plant Mechanic What We're Looking For

Level 3 City & Guilds / NVQ in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent). At least 3 years' hands-on experience with HGVs, Plant, or GSE. GSE experience advantageous but not essential -- full training provided. Heavy Goods Licence desirable.

Salary: 39,000 rising to 43,000 after securing BHX & EMA airside passes and joining the call-out rota. Call-out rota (80 per call-out) + overtime opportunities. 28 days' annual leave plus bank holidays. Company pension. Free on-site parking.
