Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HGV Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems and a passion for problem-solving. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining our modern fleet of vehicles and trailers.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and machinery, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems. Diagnose mechanical issues using latest JAL Test diagnostic tools. Work with brake rollers and truck lifts. Conduct inspections to identify potential problems before they become serious issues. Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of work orders. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance skills.

Experience

Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic or in a similar role is essential. Familiarity with various mechanical systems, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive or mechanical engineering are advantageous but not mandatory. A valid driving licence.
