Job Title:

HGV Technician/HGV Fitter

Salary:

Hourly dependant on experience

Shifts to cover 7:30am to 5:00pm | Monday to Friday

7:00am to 12:00pm | Alternate Saturdays

Minimum 40 hours per week | time + a half over 40 hours | 1 hour for lunch

As a result of continued growth, KCM Waste Management seek to appoint a HGV Technician/HGV Fitter to work within our busy on-site Maintenance Garage.

This position will see you become part of a versatile team of HGV Maintenance Technicians.

You will be undertaking all levels of maintenance and repairs, in addition to completing 6 weekly inspections and MOT preparation. It is essential that you have acquired previous qualifications and experience working on vehicles and trailers ranging from 7.5 to 44 tonne.

Excellent organisational and communication skills would be beneficial to the role in order to liaise with the Parts Department efficiently and ensure all works are completed within the correct priority order. You will also be required to work overtime on a Saturday morning when necessary.

Defect rectification

Breakdown assistance

MOT preparation

General housekeeping

Completion of job sheets

Experience and key skills required

Previous experience within this role is vital

IRTEC certificate or Level 3 qualification in HGV maintenance essential

HGV Class 2 desirable

C+E desirable

Knowledge of refuse collection vehicles preferable

Diagnostic experience
