HGV Shunter Drivers

Vacancies available within Carntyne Transport Co Ltd for internal shunter drivers operating out of customer premises in the Alloa area. The role is for dayshift/nightshift working on a minimum 45 hours per week Monday to Friday. Some flexibility is required with regards to working hours (discussed during interview). Competitive rates of pay offered with shift enhancements on backshifts and nightshifts.

Whilst this is an internal opportunity for site based shunting activities there does need to be an element of flexibility to operate on local short distance routes around the central belt as and when required.

Key Responsibilities

Daily checks of equipment held within site.

Positioning of trailers/tankers throughout the shift at required locations on behalf of the customer.

Manual handling activities will form part of the shunters additional duties as and when required.

To assist in loading and unloading as required.

Full training will be provided in all activities before these are undertaken independently.

Skills / Qualifications

C+E driving licence essential Valid and in date DCPC ADR qualification preferred however not essential Punctual and reliable Customer focussed Ability to work as a team member
