HGV Shunter Driver (Class 1)

We currently have a great opportunity for experienced

Class 1. HGV Shunter Driver

to join our logistics team based in Altham and Huncoat

.

The key objective of this role is to work alongside the logistics mgmt. teams, and factory despatch supervisory teams to assure delivery vehicles are suitably loaded, and prepared for outbound delivery.

The Role:

Co-ordinate closely with logistics management and despatch supervisory teams to assure all delivery vehicles are correctly loaded and prepared for outbound delivery. Shunt vehicles between factories as required. Work efficiently and consistently to tight deadlines to ensure customer satisfaction targets and service targets are adhered to. Adhere to all safe working systems and procedures. Ensure the product is loaded safely & efficiently. Ensure all vehicles are safely and efficiently parked up and set up for delivery within Senator Transport yard. Keep in regular communication with colleagues to update on progress and manage expectations effectively. Complete daily vehicle walk round checks & ensure any vehicle defects are correctly reported. Keep your vehicle clean, tidy and well maintained.

The Person:

Experience working as a Class 1 Driver or Shunter. Experience of drawbar systems preferable but not essential (Training given accordingly). Good communication skills, verbal and written. Excellent customer service. Knowledge of UK National & DVSA Driving standards. Up to date CPC Periodic Training. Must have a full UK Driving Licence (HGV1).

Working Hours:

Weekend Shift - Friday, Saturday and Sunday 6.00am-6.00pm.
