Following major investment in our cutting-edge 4-bay workshop -- complete with an HGV inspection pit, brake tester, MOT testing bay and lorry lift -- we're now looking to expand our maintenance team.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated
HGV Technician
to join our team in
Plympton
, helping us maintain and repair our fleet of HGVs, LCVs and specialist vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake all aspects of HGV and LCV maintenance and repair
Diagnosing and fault-finding on vehicles and trailers
Performing MOT preparations, inspections, and safety checks
Undertaking general servicing, pre-planned maintenance and reactive repairs
Working on small plant and equipment repairs as needed
Maintaining accurate records and complying with Health & Safety procedures
What You'll Need
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
Full UK driving licence
Proven experience working as an HGV or commercial vehicle technician
Strong understanding of diagnostics, fault finding and repair procedures
Desirable Experience
Experience maintaining and repairing vacuum tanks or jetting equipment
MOT testing licence (Class 7/HGV)
IRTEC certification
