Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage the logistics of loading and unloading cargo. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of service.

Duties

Operate lorries in compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods during transit. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road. Perform basic mechanical checks and maintenance on the vehicle as needed. Adhere to all health and safety regulations while on the road and at delivery sites.

Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving is essential, with a valid HGV licence. Strong mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues. Previous experience in logistics or transportation is preferred but not mandatory. A good understanding of navigation systems and ability to read maps effectively is required. Experience with digging equipment or related machinery is a plus but not essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 15.00-20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 55 per week
