We are currently looking to employ an enthusiastic full time HGV/LGV Class 2 Hiab delivery driver for our busy Hereford Branch. Although Hiab experience is preferable for the role its not essential as training is available to the right candidate.

This is a full time role Monday to Friday and Saturday's in rotation (1 in 2).

The successful candidate will be operating a heavy goods dropside vehicle fitted with a remote control crane & will be delivering building materials locally and throughout the surrounding area.

Essential requirements:

Class 2 A digital tachograph card CPC training (ESSENTIAL) HIAB License (Preferable but training available) A Clean Driving License
Desirable requirements:

Main purpose:

To drive a lorry to deliver goods, collect stock and assist in the yard when required.
Main Duties:

Always drive in a safe and lawful manner. Deliver goods and collect stock correctly and in good condition. Check the vehicle daily and fill in defect report sheets as requested by the Transport Manager. Complete, use and keep tachograph and charts as requested by law. General overview use of the grab crane. Assist Yard Operatives with loading and unloading of vehicles. Check loads are correct and secure before leaving the yard. Clean vehicles on a regular basis. Assist with yard duties when driving is not required. Any other reasonable management request.
Person Specification:

The successful candidate must have the following:

Possession of a clean LGV driver's licence Lorry-mounted grab crane certificate Experience in lorry driving Knowledge of the local area Detail conscious Well organised with a methodical way of working. Able to meet physical loading, driving and delivery requirements. Good interpersonal skills Able to demonstrate knowledge of general building, hardware, timber products and their application (desirable)
