HIAB Driver / Electrician's Assistant

What You'll Be Doing

You'll play a key role in maintaining over 52,000 street lights and 8,000 signs and bollards across the region. Your responsibilities will include:

Operating LGV Class 2 vehicles with HIAB attachments. Assisting electricians with installing lighting columns and connection pits. Excavating and reinstating highways using materials like asphalt, flags, and block paving. Managing traffic risks and ensuring safe working environments. Performing manual excavation - keeping active while you work!

What We're Looking For

A current LGV Class 2 licence (or higher) Experience (or willingness to learn) operating HIAB equipment Someone who enjoys hands-on work and working as part of a team A safety-first attitude with a commitment to doing the job right Previous experience in highways or street lighting is not essential for this role but is an advantage
