Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Class 1 Hiab Driver to join our team in the Events Services industry. As a Class 1 Hiab Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of event equipment and stock to various venues both in the UK and Europe. This is a physically demanding position that requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

Transport event equipment and stock to and from venues according to established routes and schedules Load and unload equipment using a Hiab crane in a safe and efficient manner whilst strictly following company procedures Conduct pre-trip inspections of the Hiab vehicle to ensure it is in proper working order and log all vehicle checks following company procedure Adhere to all applicable traffic laws and safety regulations Maintain accurate records of all deliveries and pickups Assist with the set-up and break-down of any event equipment when needed Provide exceptional customer service to clients, ensuring their satisfaction is met with the delivery process You maybe required to drive other company vehicles to deliver goods that do not warrant the use of the Hiab lorry Some weekend work, early starts, and nights away in the lorry when necessary

Requirements

Valid Class 1 driver's license with a clean driving record Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Hiab driver, preferably in the Events Services industry A valid CPC- Driver Experience operating a Hiab crane and performing lifts in a variety of environments Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations Excellent physical stamina and ability to consistently lift heavy equipment Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately complete paperwork on time. A lot of which is now done via an app. Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and co-workers
