Requirement

To carry out the duties of an Electrical fitter and or cable jointer working to exacting safety standards, at our customers' premises and work sites throughout South Wales and the UK

Main Responsibilities

To carry out a range of industrial/commercial High Voltage and low voltage electrical maintenance and installation works. Actively promote a positive safety culture, ensuring all Company and customer safety rules and procedures are observed by staff and contractors. DNO experience or installation of 11KV Switchboards, Transformers, RMUs etc.... Electrical testing & inspection desirable. Plans, organises and undertakes maintenance on HV networks to meet customer requirements in accordance with Company safety and maintenance standards. Operate in accordance with the Company's Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures. Be familiar with the required Health, Safety and Environmental standards governing your job in particular, complying fully with risk assessments/method statements/safe working procedures. Maintain polite and good communication with clients, colleagues and others who may be affected by your work. Attend inductions, training courses and safety contacts as required. Be prepared to undertake other duties as required. Based near M4 in South Wales.

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday 38 hours, however due to customer requirements, working flexibly will be expected with overtime and weekend working on occasions.

You may be expected to work away from home occasionally with consultation.

Salary

Dependant on training and experience.

Be able to work with others and develop a positive team atmosphere. Have a good head for heights and able to work in sometimes difficult conditions. Work both supervised and unsupervised as appropriate. To be able to communicate positively & decisively in both written and oral form with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel. Able to work to strict deadlines and timed completion programmes. Hold a full UK driving licence.
