Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and safety-conscious Warehouse Operative to join our team. In this key role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient loading, unloading, and storage of products and materials within our warehouse and stockyard areas, ensuring that all operations align with company standards.

Key Responsibilities:



Safely and accurately load and unload goods, ensuring all activity complies with best practice and company standards. Prepare and pick orders using a batch-based inventory system, maintaining accuracy against picking paperwork. Process incoming goods, including unloading deliveries and recording delivery notes. Retrieve and prepare stock for internal customers upon request. Perform daily forklift checks and operate equipment in accordance with safety procedures. Maintain clear roadways and correct storage of product to preserve quality. Complete daily housekeeping routines within the warehouse. Label products for final customer delivery accurately and clearly. Conduct regular stock level checks in line with monthly targets. Adhere to health, safety and environmental policies, including audits, inspections, and reporting.

Skills and Experience Required:



Self-motivated and adaptable with a proactive attitude to learning. Good numeracy skills and basic computer literacy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Valid FLT Counterbalance licence (essential). Safety-conscious, with a willingness to undertake training. Understanding of ERP and stock control systems. Flexible to cover additional duties and staff holidays within the team.

Desirable Skills:



Experience in a manufacturing, warehouse or production environment. VNA truck experience (training can be provided). Familiarity with Syspro or similar ERP systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience in liaising with customers and suppliers.
