Job Description

:

The role of faculty in the college is to ensure that students in the college receive a premium experience. This is achieved via delivery of the highest quality tuition and module leadership. Faculty will undertake a variety of duties including, but not restricted to, module leadership, assessment, teaching and providing tutorial support.

Subjects to teach:

Finance, Accounting, Management, Marketing, Sales, Audit, HRM Study Skills, Risk Management, Law, Personal Career Development, Individual Projects Strategy Management and others.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

Provide high quality module leadership and be accountable for the standard of the module materials and resources. Ensure high quality and consistent teaching through the provision of detailed teaching guidance and academic support as per QAA Quality Code and FHEQ and OFS guidance

Prepare, delivers, and directs lectures, seminars and tutorials.

Prepares, administers, and marks examinations, course work, portfolio and other assignments.

Advises students on academic matters and encourages independent study, take students on educational and employment visits.

Provides pastoral care or guidance or support to students or those in special need.

Participates in decision making processes regarding curricula, budgetary, departmental, IV, student individual plan and other matters.

Liaises with other professional and commercial organisations and awarding bodies to review course content.

Undertakes research projects and attend conferences, CPD courses and other meetings.

Supporting the Faculty and Corporate vision of the college.

Any other duties appropriate to the grade and nature of the post.

Skills, knowledge and qualifications required for the role

Qualifications

1. Be qualified to degree level in an appropriate subject. (Essential)

2. IQA qualification. (Desirable)

Experience

1. Be an experienced education practitioner, able to provide support, teach and assess further education students - in the areas of marketing, finance and management.

2. Experience of providing guidance and leadership to your students

3. Experience of supporting students in an academic and employability context

Skills

1. The ability to work well in a team and be collaborative

2. Good communication and active listening skills

3. Commercially and educationally focused with leadership and coaching skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to 48,500.00 per year
