Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Chichester

Location: Chichester, West Sussex


Hours: 08:30 AM - 03:30 PM, Monday to Friday, Term Time Only


Start Date: ASAP


Salary: Competitive (based on experience) - typically aligned with TA pay bands


We're looking for an experienced HLTA to join a supportive Chichester primary school. If you can lead learning, cover classes and support curriculum delivery, we'd love your application.


Key Responsibilities:


o Deliver planned learning activities and lead whole-class lessons under teacher direction or in cover situations (where permitted).


o Support curriculum planning and assessment, and lead targeted interventions.


o Supervise and mentor other support staff and contribute to school development.


o Maintain records and report on pupil progress.





Skills & Experience / What We're Looking For:


o HLTA qualification or substantial TA experience with HLTA responsibilities.


o Strong pedagogical understanding and ability to lead interventions.


o Excellent communication and leadership skills.


o Transferable skills: organisation, time-management, coaching, adaptability.
