Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated

Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

to join our team in our bespoke SEND Connect Centre. You will work closely with our Centre SENDCo, teachers, and external professionals to support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

This is a rewarding role where you will:

Support students in small classes (1:4) and in smaller group or 1:1 settings. Plan and deliver lessons or targeted interventions. Help students develop confidence, independence, and essential skills. Lead classes in the teacher's absence, ensuring a positive learning environment. Work with families and outside agencies to ensure every child's needs are met.
No two days are the same - you'll be making a real difference to young people's education and well-being.

What We're Looking For

HLTA qualification (Level 4 or equivalent) - or willingness to work towards it. Experience supporting students with SEND (e.g. autism, ADHD, dyslexia, physical or medical needs). Knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies and current SEND practice. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting students.
