experienced and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
to join asupportive specialist SEND school
inBurgess Hill
. This is along-term, full-time role
working with students who have a range ofspecial educational needs and disabilities
, including autism (ASC), communication difficulties, and complex learning needs.As an
HLTA
, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, leading small group sessions, delivering pre-planned lessons when required, and providing targeted interventions. You'll work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils make progress both academically and socially, in anurturing and inclusive environment
.What We're Looking For:
HLTA qualification
or significant, relevant classroom experienceStrong background in SEND or specialist education
Confident delivering small group work
and occasional whole-class teachingExcellent communication, organisation and teamwork skills
Patient, adaptable and child-centred approach
