Job Description

The Role



Nottingham Girls' High School seeks a dedicated practitioner to provide 1:1 support for a student with an Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP), specifically relating to Autism and ADHD.

Duties



You will work closely with the SENDCo and class teachers to deliver high quality, personalised support across learning, behaviour, communication and social development and be responsible for the following: Supporting planning and delivery of targeted 1:1 interventions Preparing and adapting resources to ensure curriculum access Implementing emotional literacy, communication and sensory support strategies Delivering structured break and lunchtime support Providing multi sensory learning support Monitoring progress and maintaining records Liaising with colleagues, parents and external professionals Supporting trips and wider school life

Job requirements



Relevant TA/HLTA qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) Experience supporting pupils with SEND, particularly Autism and ADHD Strong communication, empathy and active listening skills Ability to adapt learning materials Strong observational and record keeping skills Collaborative, calm, flexible and professional

Contract terms:

Fixed term that is subject to EHCP funding.
