We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our strong team of two good, federated schools supporting teaching and learning across the Federation.
We are a friendly and welcoming federation of two schools who are looking to appoint a proactive and enthusiastic HLTA who is passionate about supporting children to ensure the best possible outcomes. We are looking for someone who is flexible in their approach to work across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Initially, you will primarily be based at Bedenham Primary School but may be required to cover teaching across both schools.
The perfect applicant will be delivering lessons set by the class teacher and/ or following a set scheme. This will be as part of regular PPA release, leadership release time or staff absence. You may also deliver small group interventions as required.
This role is a great stepping stone for those who have the ambition to become a qualified teacher.
The successful candidate will:
have achieved the HLTA Award, or other equivalent qualification, along with GCSE Grade 4 (previously Grade C) or equivalent in English and Mathematics
have experience of working with children in primary schools
be happy to teach whole class sessions as per contract
have experience working 1:1 with children and carrying out high quality interventions across the ability range
be able to motivate and engage all children
be able to use their initiative and be resourceful
be a strong team member
have patience and strong communication skills
have a good understanding of safeguarding procedures
have strong behaviour management
