Job Summary



We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our committed team of educators. The successful candidate will support the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning, take responsibility for planning and delivering lessons under the direction of teaching staff, and play a key role in supporting pupils' educational development.

Key Responsibilities



Support and deliver planned learning activities to groups or individual pupils. Work closely with teachers to plan, evaluate and adjust lessons and learning activities. Lead whole-class learning on occasion, covering lessons in the short-term absence of a teacher. Assist in the assessment, recording and reporting of pupils' progress. Support the development of pupils' social and emotional well-being. Promote inclusive learning strategies and ensure the needs of all pupils are met. Provide feedback to teachers and contribute to progress reviews. Supervise pupils during breaks, lunchtimes, or on educational trips where required. Uphold the school's safeguarding and behaviour policies at all times.

Requirements



HLTA status or relevant Level 4 qualification (or willingness to work toward it). Previous experience working as a teaching assistant or in a similar educational setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage behaviour in a positive and effective manner. Flexible, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Commitment to ongoing professional development and the values of the school.

Desirable



Experience working across multiple key stages. Experience supporting children with SEND. First Aid training or other relevant qualifications.

Pay: 24,000.00-26,000.00 per year
