The role ensures that all students with SEND are identified, supported, and able to access their education effectively by strategically supporting provision, processes, and collaboration with staff, families, and external professionals, without undertaking in-class support duties.
About the Candidate
The Governors are seeking to appoint a committed and experienced HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) to support and complement the work of teaching staff across the school.
Working within an agreed system of supervision, the successful candidate will take responsibility for delivering specific learning activities to individuals, small groups, or whole classes, particularly within their designated subject or specialist area.
Key responsibilities will include planning, preparing, and delivering engaging learning activities, as well as monitoring, assessing, recording, and reporting on students' progress, achievement, and development.
This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on student outcomes and to support the wider academic and pastoral life of the school.
Experience working in a secondary school environment and a relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent is essential.
