Job Introduction

Whitchurch CE Primary School is looking to appoint an experienced and suitably qualified

Higher Level Teaching Assistant

to join our well established and committed Learning Support Team. The role will be varied and will include regular whole class teaching commitments, 1:1 interventions, class support and responsibility for leading a variety of group interventions. An ability to support across KS2 is essential. We are a two-form entry primary school with good links to Winchester, Basingstoke, Andover and the M3/A3/A303


We are looking for someone who:

has achieved the HLTA Award has experience of covering KS2 classes and is willing to take over a class at short notice has experience working 1:1 with children and carrying out high quality interventions across the ability range has good basic literacy and math's skills to support children across KS2. Grade A-C or 4-9 GCSEs or equivalent required has pastoral support of children at the heart of what they do, able to use their initiative to provide the very best support for our children and is committed to every child being successful understands confidentiality and safeguarding procedures is cheerful, flexible and enjoys working as part of a team is nurturing and kind and able to promote the school's values and ethos has high expectations of all children and themselves
