We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Metal Fitter to join our team. This role requires an individual who is not only capable of leading a team but is also prepared to work intensively alongside their team to ensure the successful and timely completion of high-quality metal installations. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, leading by example in the installation of railings, handrails, balustrades, stairs, and other metal structures. You will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the installation process while working directly with the team to meet project requirements.
Duties

Site Management & Problem Solving: Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring all aspects of the installation process run smoothly. Address and resolve any issues that arise during installation promptly.
Client Communication: Act as a key point of contact for clients on-site. Ensure all client expectations are met, providing updates as necessary, and addressing any concerns in a professional manner.
Health & Safety Management: Not only will you follow all safety protocols, but you will also ensure that your team adheres to strict health and safety guidelines. As a leader on-site, it's your responsibility to enforce safety standards, make sure that proper PPE is used, and that tools and equipment are used safely. You'll be accountable for conducting safety checks on-site and addressing any hazards immediately.
Area Knowledge: Ensure familiarity with the London area, especially Lambeth, Hackney, Hammersmith & Fulham, Lewisham, and Southwark, to effectively navigate sites and optimize workflow.
Equipment Handling: Operate, maintain, and ensure proper use of machinery, hand tools, and equipment, leading by example in safe and efficient operations.
