About the role



Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a

Highways Maintenance Operative

to join our Regional team to work in

Newton Mearns

and maintaining roads in East Renfrewshire, East Ayrshire and South Lanarkshire.

What you'll be doing



You will have the following accountabilities:


Provide winter maintenance operations including participating in a shift system and winter standby

rota;
Be responsible for traffic management; Participate in emergency response on a rostered basis; Civil works e.g. Carriageway patching, drainage and fencing repairs; Cyclic works e.g. Sign cleaning, gully cleaning and grass cutting


Who we're looking for



The following qualities and experience are essential:


Class 1 or 2 LGV licence; In receipt or working towards Driver CPC qualification; NHSS 12 AB Traffic management experience; Knowledge and awareness of health & safety procedures and standards.

The following qualities/experience are desirable:


Winter maintenance experience; NRSWA Qualification; First Aid Qualification; CPCS Telescopic Telehandler.
