About the role
We are looking to recruit a Highways Maintenance Works Leader, to join our Highways and Environmental Services team on a permanent basis, based at our Penrhos Depot in Llandysul.



On a day-to-day basis you will:


Manage teams of Highways Maintenance Operatives. Manage both in-house resources and work undertaken by external contractors. Deliver the front-line Highways Maintenance Service, including the planning and coordination of works, providing efficient and effective services to the people of Ceredigion. Ensure that all work undertaken is prioritised and recorded appropriately using the Service's dedicated asset management systems.

We are looking to recruit an individual who has:


A full Valid UK Driving license. Extensive knowledge of Highway Maintenance Activities. Promotes safe working practices. Enthusiasm and drive for maintaining the highway infrastructure. A positive attitude towards change and a desire to make a difference.

The post requires a degree of fluency in the Welsh language. Please note that a successful applicant without the required Welsh language skill will be fully supported to reach the required standard within two years of appointment.
