You'll be joining our

Highways maintenance

team, as the UK's number one highway maintenance contractor, our teams use the latest innovations to create effective solutions. We offer a range of services including planned and reactive maintenance and highway improvement schemes.

What will you be doing?





You'll be supervising operatives and supply chain completing highways maintenance activities, to include drainage and haunching works.



You'll be involved in the planning and programming the works.



Along with plant and material ordering and online road space booking.



We'll ask you to produce works packs including Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental information such as CPPs, RAs, MSs, Permits and ITPs.



You'll be Site management of the direct and supply chain teams and deal with performance on site, safety and environmental compliance.



You'll be presenting inductions and on site briefings and carrying out inspections. Using the contract works management system.



You'll be involved in budget forecasting, cost capture and cost control, change management, raising EWs and documenting change.



Well require your involvement in Winter Maintenance and Emergency Call Out Supervisory responsibilities.



What you'll bring





+ To have knowledge and experience working with surface water drainage systems
+ Team player with good collaborative working skills, able to engage, guide and influence others, including Milestone colleagues, customers and suppliers
+ Good communication skills: verbal, presentations and reports
+ Basic skills in the use of computer software packages such as word, excel and works management systems - ability to manage data and produce reports
+ Self motivated, able to manage own workload, prioritise and set own timetable
+ Attention to detail and persistent
+ Knowledge and commitment to industry safety and environmental procedures, legislation and practice
+ Commitment to operational performance
+ Basic commercial knowledge and understanding
+ IT basics essential
+ CSCS / CPCS essential
+ SSSTS desired
+ Safety and Environmental qualifications desired
+ Experience and ability to manage people - drive, coach, support, challenge and undertake difficult conversations
+ Temporary works coordinator / supervisor desired
