Hire Controller

to join our team and play a central role in keeping our demolition attachment operations running smoothly.

About the Role

As our Hire Controller, you will act as the key link between customers, our internal team, and our fleet of demolition attachments. Your day-to-day responsibilities will focus on ensuring every item of equipment leaves and returns in full compliance, on time, and in excellent condition.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

Coordinating and preparing all hire documentation with accuracy and attention to detail Organising transport and collection schedules to ensure efficient delivery and return of attachments Monitoring legal compliance documentation, including certifications, inspection records, LOLER, and other industry requirements Managing equipment inspections both in and out, identifying any damage, wear, or maintenance needs Liaising with the workshop team to arrange repairs, servicing, and routine maintenance Providing clear, professional communication to customers regarding hires, availability, and operational queries Supporting wider operational tasks across the business when required

About You

We're looking for someone who brings:

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once Confidence communicating with customers, drivers, and the internal team A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement Experience in the plant, tool, or attachment hire industry (desirable) Knowledge of compliance and inspection standards within construction/demolition (advantageous, but not essential if willing to learn)
