Tradewind are recruiting! Are you an Early Career Teacher of History looking for your first teaching role for September 2023 in Manchester?

Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a qualified teacher of history to join a secondary academy in Manchester.

This is a full-time temporary teaching contract suitable for a History ECT to begin their ECT induction.

The school would also consider an immediate start to support the humanities department in June and July.

The Job

Teacher of History to GCSE

Experience of the History AQA GCSE syllabus would be useful

Positive confident classroom management skills with a focus on Assessment for Learning.

Innovative teacher able to adapt lessons to the changing needs of students

The academy are interested in hearing from early career teachers, experienced QTS teachers or FE lecturers with experience of teaching History to students aged 11 to 18.

Ability to cover other subjects including Geography, Citizenship or Religious Education would be beneficial.

  • Have completed a PGCE or SCITT and hold ECT status or QTS status
  • This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
  • Provide a CV with full employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK with no restrictions
